I had a random thought today. As I learn more about Rwanda, the genocide and the move towards a hopeful future in the country, I noted that I will be there for almost the same length of time that the war in Rwanda lasted. Sometimes I think we lose touch with other people's realities because they seem so far from our own. This idea has made me think differently about what can happen in 3 months. For good or otherwise.
